maylands - tom's house
tom keeps his unit spick and span. there is not an object out of place. he also owns a formula one race car which is parked out front.
one time we were rocking out on his electric guitar and the neighbour told us to knock it off. tom never plugged in his amp again. he plugs his headphones directly into his guitar, and i am amazed that this works, but i guess electric guitars are like synths. theyre nothing but big apps.
tom, an engineer, took an opportunity to run a lithium mine somewhere in wyoming, and now the house has fallen into disrepair. weeds grow between the bricks and vines creep up the walls, and street urchins have thrown rocks through some of the windows. when tom returns from the united states, he will feel like the guy at the end of The Swimmer.
