maylands - malcom's house
between 2019-2020 my friend malcom lived with his girlfriend at the end of caledonian ave with their two cats, jack and jeff. malcom's backyard had a big glass table where we played a lot of bohnanza and d&d. at this table i first heard about the coronavirus. this didnt impact me much.
a big jest of going to malcoms was trying to trick him into watching the 1976 film Storm Boy, swapping out the disc in his copy of Dark Souls 3 in the hopes that one day he might be drunk enough to put the dvd in his ps4 without noticing, and then too drunk to notice that the characters on screen werent responding to his controller, he was actually watching a wonderful Australian movie about friendship and growing up.
