maylands - brad's house
after vacating sherwood in the winter of 2016, brad, mitch and sam moved to hubert street which i remember being a nicer federation-style house.
although they had such a nice house, they had no furniture. for years their living room was completely bare except for a single roadside couch and a blockmounted poster of casper the friendly ghost.
i used to practice here in a band with brad, laurent and danyon called Catwalk, who still play to this day. i had no idea how to play the drums, nor did i own a drum kit, and was quietly replaced by the drummer virtuoso daniel. one of brad's highschool students aptly described Catwalk's music as the 'stoned wiggles'.
there were some parties here, but my memory is hazy. for one of them, brad rented a big red wacky waving inflatable guy, which could be seen flailing about from several blocks away.
